Mosquito Problem
Monica Harding MP’s office has confirmed they are “very familiar” with mosquito issues in Long Ditton and have previously raised them with Elmbridge Borough Council (EBC), Thames Water and the Environment Agency, but investigations so far have not located a specific source. EBC’s environment pages direct residents to use their online reporting portal to log pest issues, including mosquitoes, so the council can track patterns and arrange investigations or monitoring. The MP’s office has asked that residents and neighbours report each occurrence through the council’s pest control link here: Pest Control and they will follow up with EBC when further updates become available.

The St James Park (Long Ditton) Estate Company Limited (The Estate Company) manages the communal gardens, roads and pavements on the St James Park Estate in Long Ditton. The Estate Company is owned and controlled by all the owners of homes on St James Park. Its Board, which consists entirely of homeowners who give their time freely, meets at least six times a year and an AGM is held annually.
St James Park was built from 1999 and comprises 237 houses and 84 apartments. Its layout is inspired by the garden squares and crescents of Regency and Georgian England. The absence of through roads keeps vehicular traffic to a minimum and helps make St James Park a very pleasant place to live.
