Elmbridge Planning Consultation - Update

There is little new information at this time.

The LDRA continue to work in conjunction with the ‘Save HWLD Greenbelt’ group and still need your support to stop the development of our Green Belt land.  For up-to-date news see their Facebook page

Last year the group published a leaflet about a fundraising campaign to cover legal costs in their application to register the Green Belt land as a ‘Village Green’, which protects the area for future generations. Background: in February 2017 EBC consulted with local residents about its New Local Plan for Housing with a Strategic Options Consultation Document. Their suggested Option 2 proposed to declassify our local Green Belt.  (This ‘Area 58’ includes land west of the Hook Road, the land owned by the Rose Nursery, One Tree Hill and Stokes Field.)

EBC will be responding to the consultation, taking into account proposed Government changes, and will publish a revised timetable for Local Plan delivery. They expect to bring the proposals back to residents this summer.
