Would you like to become a Director?

Being a Director of The Estate Company is interesting and worthwhile. The Directors meet regularly to discuss matters concerning the communal areas of the estate. This includes the gardens, roadways, sewage and rainwater, gates, general security issues and the obligations of residents on the estate. The Directors control the finances of the estate company and agree budgets for all maintenance and repair work. They deal with legal matters and local council issues, and monitor the performance of any sub-contractors.

The principal sub-contractor is the management company which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the estate. The Directors work closely with the management company, a representative of which usually attends board meetings.
